Pierre Gonalons
Pierre Gonalons, designer and interior architect, is based in Paris. Born in Lyon into a family with Italian cultural origins, he cultivated a sensitivity for French tradition and art history very early on. A graduate of École Camondo, Pierre Gonalons quickly imposed his unique vision of design and space. He founded his design studio at age 23 and designed for prestigious maisons such as Lalique, Chloé, Pierre Frey, Nina Ricci, Pernod and Weston, along with his self-produced and limited edition collections for international galleries. As the artistic director of the historic Italian design publisher Paradisoterrestre, he also designs for many transalpine clients such as Ceramica Bardelli, Masiero, etc. His creations fall between simplicity and spectacularity and give priority to the expression of traditional materials and craftsmanship that he considers a source of inspiration. He defends a minimal design to which he transmits references to decorative arts and Pop culture. Since 2016, interior design projects have followed one another for Pierre Gonalons and it is in the tradition of the Great Ensembliers that he draws down to the smallest detail of his decorations. A boutique, bar and restaurant will open in 2020 – 2021. Joining the top 100 designers of AD magazine in 2019, he participated in the AD Interiors exhibition during the same year. Maison Drucker made a pretty heart-shaped medallion chair for him.
